Tekville Education Selected to Lead 2024 Digital Tutor Training Program

Tekville Education announced on the 27th that it has been selected as a consignment institution for the 2024 Digital Tutor Training Center, an initiative hosted by the Ministry of Education and the Korea Foundation for the Advancement of Science and Creativity.

The Digital Tutor Training Course is a newly introduced educational program designed to foster digital tutors who will support schools nationwide in collaboration with five regional digital training centers. This initiative aims to train individuals who will assist teachers with the management of digital devices and software, particularly in the integration of AI digital textbooks in the classroom.

Digital tutors will play a key role in helping teachers manage digital tools, including setup and charging management, and will support students in effectively using digital textbooks, addressing disparities in digital proficiency among students.

Tekville Education is responsible for training digital tutors in Seoul and the metropolitan area, with plans to recruit over 300 students by September. Training will be conducted from October to December. Eligible candidates must be residents of Seoul, Incheon, or Gyeonggi Province, proficient in using digital devices, and interested in becoming digital tutors.

The training is offered free of charge to selected candidates, and those who complete the course and receive certification will be given priority in school hiring processes. The training program consists of three tracks:

  1. Common Curriculum (50 sessions covering digital literacy and class support)
  2. Common Curriculum + Advanced EdTech Course (10 additional sessions focused on EdTech)
  3. Common Curriculum + Advanced Text Coding Course (20 additional sessions focused on text coding)

Applications can be submitted via the Digital Tutor website until the 27th of next month, with enrollment on a first-come, first-served basis.

Lee Hyung-se, CEO of Tekville Education, commented, “As public education undergoes digital transformation, there is growing concern about the increasing burden on teachers in managing digital tasks and the learning gap among students due to differences in digital proficiency. Digital tutors will help alleviate teachers’ workloads by managing devices, resolving issues during class, and ensuring students are able to fully engage and enjoy the learning experience.”

Meanwhile, Tekville Education continues to run various projects aimed at reducing the digital education gap and enhancing the digital capabilities of elementary, middle, and high school students.
