Tekville Education announced on the 20th that it has signed a strategic business agreement with SDG Youth, a non-profit organization under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, to introduce and promote the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in education.

Founded in 2019, SDG Youth is a non-profit corporation that works on various domestic and international projects aimed at sustainable development and global peace. The organization recently obtained special consultative status from the United Nations Economic and Social Council (UN ECOSOC) and has established branches in four countries across Asia and Africa, operating as an international NGO.

Through this agreement, Tekville Education and SDG Youth will collaborate on several initiatives, including:

The production and sale of SDGs teaching materials,

The establishment of the Korean Teachers' Association for SDGs,

The development of Regional SDGs Discovery Programs,

The SDGs Study Program for teacher training,

   Overseas training program planning.

By the end of this year, Tekville Education will co-develop educational tools and curricula aligned with the 17 SDGs to support the UN’s goal of achieving 17 key targets and 169 detailed objectives by 2030. Additionally, regional SDGs teacher professional learning communities will be established across the country to plan and manage localized SDG programs.

Moving forward, the two organizations intend to implement teacher training programs using the educational materials and curricula they develop, with plans to hold annual educational conferences to share insights and progress.

Tekville Education has also announced its intention to promote teacher capacity-building programs through overseas training linked to the three UN headquarters in New York, Switzerland, and Kenya, with the goal of advancing the implementation of SDG initiatives in public education.

Lee Hyung-se, CEO of Tekville Education, stated, "This agreement is designed to develop practical solutions for integrating the SDGs—an international collaborative effort—into the domestic elementary, middle, and high school curriculum. We will work closely with SDG Youth to contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals."
