Tekville Education Recognized as a
'2024 Best Workplace for Work-Life Balance in Korea'
The Best Workplace for Work-Life Balance in Korea is a government initiative jointly hosted by the Ministry of Employment and Labor, the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, the Korea Employers Federation, the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the Korea Federation of SMEs, with the Labor-Management Development Foundation overseeing the selection and awards process. This initiative recognizes outstanding companies that strive to enhance employees' work-life balance.
A total of approximately 200 companies were selected based on quantitative and qualitative evaluations of their performance in areas such as flexible work arrangements, reduced working hours, leave policies, work-life integration, and workplace culture.
Tekville Education was recognized for its high scores in supporting work-life balance through various employee benefits, including a partial flexible work system, encouragement of annual leave usage, breakfast provision, and early leave on employees' birthdays.
Notably, the partial flexible work system introduced this year was rated as the most satisfying policy in an internal employee survey, as it enhances work focus and efficiency while allowing employees to adjust their work hours according to personal schedules.
Additionally, Tekville Education promotes reduced working hours for pregnant employees and gender-neutral parental leave policies. The company has also recently incorporated employee feedback to improve its leave system, allowing employees to take leave in hourly increments starting next year.
Selected companies receive various benefits, including exemption from regular labor inspections, deferment of customs audits, preferential interest rates, and priority access to SME policy funds.
CEO Lee Hyung-se stated, "We have implemented various welfare policies and programs to enhance employees' quality of life. Through these initiatives, we aim to increase corporate predictability, maximize economic benefits, and take the lead in addressing low birth rates."
Meanwhile, Tekville Education was also recognized at the 'Fair Recruitment Excellence Awards' co-hosted by the Ministry of Economy and Finance and the Ministry of Employment and Labor. The company received the Korea Federation of SMEs Chairman’s Award for its commitment to transparent, competency-based hiring.
Furthermore, Tekville Education was honored by the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism as a 'Leisure-Friendly Company' and a 'Best Workplace for Reading Management,' recognizing its commitment to work-life balance, employee growth and well-being, and fostering a corporate culture that encourages reading.
