[EduPlus] Tekville Education Rated 'Excellent' in Digital Saessak Evaluation… Selected as Host Organization for 'Honam and Jeju Region' for Third Consecutive Year
The "Digital Saessak Project" is a national digital talent development initiative hosted by the Ministry of Education and operated by the Korea Foundation for the Advancement of Science and Creativity. It was launched at the end of 2022 to provide elementary, middle, and high school students across the country with hands-on experiences in software (SW) and artificial intelligence (AI), and to systematically cultivate digital competencies.
Since the first half of 2023, Tekville Education has been running the Digital Saessak program and was selected as an “Excellent” institution among 43 participating organizations last year. Drawing on its three years of operational experience, the company has established a structured system for managing SW and AI instructors, enhanced teaching competencies, and actively promoted program outcomes through its own competitions and nationwide initiatives.
This year’s program runs for approximately eight months, from May to December, and is delivered through on-site, field-based education primarily targeting digitally underserved areas across the country, including the Honam region.
The program includes two tracks: a basic program focused on key digital competencies, and a specialized program tailored to curriculum integration, regional characteristics, and career pathways.
The basic program consists of four modules:
Exploring My Future Career Path (Elementary)
Self-Directed Learning with AI (Middle School)
Fun Digital Integration Activities (Special Education)
Creating a Smart World with AI and Data (Multicultural Students)
The specialized program includes:
Protecting Our Precious Cultural Heritage (Elementary)
SDGs Digital Challenge: Changing the World Through Games (High School)
In this year's project, Tekville Education will expand its offerings by adding programs developed in-house last year, with a particular focus on supporting socially disadvantaged students, including those in special education and multicultural backgrounds. A competition and a national-level project presentation event will also be held for students who participate in the program.
Tekville Education was once again recognized for its strong track record in digital education projects, excellent teacher training programs, and a robust pool of instructors composed of current teachers. These strengths contributed to its selection as the host organization for the Honam and Jeju region this year.
