Tekville Education (CEO ‘Hyeong-se Lee’), an edtech company, announced on the 26th that it held the ‘2024 Digital Tutor Training Center’ Performance
Report Conference (hereinafter referred to as ‘Performance Report’) at the President Hotel in Seoul on the 17th.

The Digital Tutor Training Center project is a human resource development project newly introduced by the Ministry of Education and the Korea Foundation for the Advancement of Science and Creativity to strengthen the professional capabilities of digital tutors who will work in schools at five regional centers across the country, including the metropolitan area, including Seoul, Incheon, and Gyeonggi.

Digital tutors help teachers in elementary, middle, and high schools manage digital devices (settings, charging management, etc.) and software for classes, and help bridge the gap in digital textbook use due to differences in students' digital capabilities during classes using artificial intelligence (AI) digital textbooks.

Tekville Education was selected as the entrusted executing agency for the ‘2024 Metropolitan Area Digital Tutor Training Center’ last July and developed standard textbooks (common course + two advanced courses) to be used in digital tutor training training nationwide.

The common course consists of key contents necessary to strengthen digital education in schools, such as △role of digital tutors △how to use smart education terminals by OS △EDTECH △AI digital textbooks △block coding △utilization of physical computing. The advanced course is a 20-hour Python programming course.

Approximately 1,800 people applied to recruit digital tutor trainees at the metropolitan area training center. Of these, 360 people with the basic knowledge and capabilities as a digital tutor were finally selected and trained, and a total of 323 people graduated.

Training completion certificates will be issued to those who complete the training, and they will register on the Digital Tutor website (dt.kosac.re.kr) operated by the Creative Foundation to provide human resource information on a regular basis to schools across the country seeking to hire digital tutors.

Meanwhile, on the 19th, a performance report was held to encourage those who completed the training and explore future development plans. At the performance briefing session, starting with a keynote lecture by Park Ki-hyeon, CEO of the EdTech division of Tekville Education, △announcement of the results of the Digital Tutor Training Center project, △sharing of best practices, and △an award ceremony for the winners of the education essay contest were held.

Park Ki-hyun, CEO of Tekville Education's EdTech division, said, "If AI digital textbooks are introduced into the classroom, both teachers and students may experience trials and errors large and small. Tekville Education will train digital tutors with expertise in digital education to prepare and organize devices as well as take appropriate actions for problems that may occur during class. We will help alleviate the burden on teachers and improve students' class motivation."
