Tekville Education (CEO Lee Hyung-se) announced on the 7th that it successfully completed the second training session for the T.O.U.C.H. Teachers Group, promoted by the Ministry of Education, 17 regional offices of education, and the Korea Education and Research Information Service (KERIS).

T.O.U.C.H., an acronym for "Teachers Who Upgrade Class High-tech," refers to a group of teachers who implement customized education through advanced technologies and foster student growth through personal connections in the era of digital education transformation. The T.O.U.C.H. teacher group project aims to expand to 2,000 members by 2025.

The Teacherville Remote Education Training Institute (hereinafter "Teacherville") was selected again this year, following its selection last year, as the institution responsible for training the T.O.U.C.H. teachers. The second session was conducted in Seoul and Gwangju from the 31st to the 7th.

The key components of the T.O.U.C.H. training included:

Hands-on exercises using AI digital textbooks

Exploration of methods to utilize AI digital textbooks

A project to design classes using AI digital textbooks

Investigation of practical strategies for digital-based educational innovation. These activities were conducted through task-based exercises, discussions, lessons, and performances.

The keynote lectures were delivered by Kim Sang-gyun, a professor at Kyung Hee University, and Dr. Jang Dong-sun, a neuroscientist. Professor Kim discussed "The Future of Humanity Entering the Age of Artificial Evolution with AI," while Dr. Jang shared his insights on "Education in the AI Era from the Perspective of a Neuroscientist." Afterward, the participants were divided into elementary and secondary groups to experience AI digital textbook prototypes from both teacher and student perspectives, exploring practical uses and applications of AI textbooks. The session also provided an opportunity to discuss practical measures for digital-based educational innovation.

Teachers who participated in the training commented, "It was a great opportunity to experience prototypes of AI digital textbooks that will be implemented in 2025," "It was meaningful to apply AI technology to subject classes in various ways," and "It was beneficial to design lessons using AI digital textbooks as if they were real classroom settings."

Lee Hyung-se, CEO of Tekville Education, highlighted, "For the digital transformation of public education to be successful, it is essential to create AI courseware that is user-friendly for teachers and to continuously enhance their digital skills." He added, "Through the T.O.U.C.H. teacher training program, we aim to foster digital pioneer teachers and lead the transformation of digital education."
