"Green Future Jeonnam" Team Wins Tium Award at Digital Saessak CODE 2025, Demonstrating Tekville Education's Impact.

Tekville Education announced on the 8th that the “Green Future Jeonnam” team won the Tium Award at the Digital Saessak Hackathon “2025 CODE,” jointly hosted by the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Science and ICT, 17 metropolitan and provincial offices of education, and the Korea Foundation for the Advancement of Science and Creativity (KOFAC).

The Green Future Jeonnam team—comprising Kang Yerin (Samho Middle School), Park Yuna and Jo Yuna (Samho Jungang Elementary School)—is made up of students who have steadily built their digital competencies through the Digital Saessak AI·SW project-based learning programs provided by Tekville Education and the Creative Convergence Talent Education Institute.

The Digital Saessak Hackathon “2025 CODE,” organized by KOFAC, is a nationwide competition in which participants develop projects that address social issues using artificial intelligence (AI). This year, 29 teams of elementary, middle, and high school students from across the country advanced to the final round.

The Green Future Jeonnam team developed their idea based on “Climate Change Activist,” one of Tekville Education’s flagship Digital Saessak programs under Explore Future Careers That Fit Me. The students presented “AI-Based Animal Rescue Team,” a project designed to protect wildlife affected by wildfires.

The “AI-Based Animal Rescue Team” uses Teachable Machine, an image-learning AI model, to train a robot with wildfire and animal images. When a wildfire is detected, the robot is designed to identify and rescue animals autonomously.

Park Ki-Hyun, Head of EdTech at Tekville Education, said, “We are delighted that the excellence of Tekville Education’s Digital Saessak programs has once again been validated through the nationwide CODE 2025 competition. We will continue to support student-centered future education in

schools and expand digital learning opportunities for students in rural areas.”
