Tekville Education's TeacherMall Successfully Hosts 2nd SDG Teacher Immersion Camp, Leading the Spread of SDGs Education

Since signing a partnership agreement with the SDG Youth Association under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in August last year, Tekville Education has been promoting the practice and dissemination of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in public education. Key initiatives include producing and selling SDG teaching materials, establishing the teacher group SDG Teachers, and developing regional SDGs programs.
Notably, SDG Teachers is a teacher research group recognized by the Ministry of Education’s digital communication platform Hamme School, lending credibility to its activities.
Jomina, the lead teacher of SDG Teachers, stated, “Many teachers across the country, including SDG Teachers’ leader teachers, are striving to implement SDGs, and this camp reinforced our confidence in SDGs education.”
The SDG Teacher Immersion Camp brought together SDG Teachers from across the nation to share and experience SDGs lesson cases conducted in their respective regions, providing a unique networking opportunity for educators.
The program reached full capacity within two days of registration, with approximately 100 teachers participating.
During the event, teachers Sun-young Ahn, Yoo-jin Kim, Hye-shin Kim, Seul Lee, and Jae-woo Kim presented regional SDGs lesson cases on topics such as Blue Environment Changemaker Class, Weed Garden Observation Lessons, Stories of SDGs International Exchange, Developing SDGs Through Community Engagement, and Sustainable World in the Classroom.
In addition, Teacher Mall operated experiential booths featuring SDGs teaching materials. Highly popular items included teacher-collaborated SDGs tools such as the Braille Block Eraser (designed by teacher Hye-won Jung), Prejudice-Free Stationery Set (teacher Seong-jeong Seol), and VR-Based Ecological Environment Lessons (teacher Joo-sung Lee).
Hands-on sessions also allowed participants to experience lessons developed by SDG Teachers members, such as Save the Earth (teacher Jin-joo Kim) and Speed Dingdong (teacher Ki-beom Shin). Post-camp surveys revealed that SDGs teaching material experiences ranked as the most satisfying program, demonstrating strong interest.
Building on the camp, Teacher Mall plans to offer a variety of digital lesson packages that combine SDGs teaching tools and instructional materials. These packages will include not only teaching aids but also lesson plans and activity sheets, enabling schools to purchase them conveniently within their budgets.
Chang-hoon Lee, Head of Tekville Education’s EduCommerce Division, said, “The camp provided an opportunity to review teachers’ SDGs research achievements and field needs, and to concretely develop methods for implementing SDGs education in classrooms. Moving forward, we will continue to collaborate with teachers to develop teaching tools and lesson packages, leading the expansion of SDGs education in public schools.”
Tekville Education will continue to develop educational tools and curricula aligned with the 17 main SDGs and 169 detailed targets set by the UN for 2030, while planning and operating regional SDG Teachers programs.
