Tekville Education Selected as Lead Organizer for the 'Honam and Jeju Digital Sprout Project' for Two Consecutive Years
EdTech company Tekville Education (CEO Lee Hyung-se) announced on the 18th that it has been selected as the lead organizer for the "Digital Sprout Project in Honam and Jeju" for the second consecutive year. Tekville Education has successfully operated five Digital Sprout Camps, spanning from the first and second halves of 2023 through to 2024, including a winter session.
Digital Sprout is a project designed to bridge the digital education gap and enhance the digital capabilities of elementary, middle, and high school students across the country. It provides hands-on experience with software (SW) and artificial intelligence (AI) education programs. The project is managed by the Ministry of Education, 17 provincial education offices, and the Korea Science and Creativity Foundation.
Tekville Education, a
public education-based EdTech company, has been operating the Teacherville
Remote Education Training Institute as its flagship brand for the past 23
years. Last year, Tekville served as the operating institution for the Digital
Sprout Camp aimed at students from remote islands in Jeollanam-do, successfully
training more than 5,000 students.
This year, the company
is offering two types of programs for students in the Honam and Jeju regions: a
basic program focusing on core digital competencies, and a specialized program
considering subject integration, regional specialization, and career
development.
The basic program
includes:
● Future Career Experience (Elementary)
● Self-Directed Learning with AI (Secondary)
● Performance Evaluation Assistant: Data Analysis (High
School)
The specialized program
includes:
● Building AI Planet Exploration Robots for a New Earth
(Elementary)
● Preserving the Korean Language with Malmoi-Data (Secondary)
Tekville Education aims
to provide not only simple digital experiences but also in-depth, engaging
camps that go beyond basic exposure, fostering interest through project-based
collaboration using SW and AI. The company also emphasizes digital education
that highlights the value of regional coexistence.
Park Ki-hyun, head of Tekville Education's EdTech division, said, "Based on our extensive digital education experience and the know-how accumulated from training more than 5,000 students, we are committed to providing a digital education experience that sparks lasting interest. We will also lead the digital transformation in schools, including offering training programs to improve teachers' digital skills."
